This privacy policy describes how the License Expiration Tracker Chrome extension (“the Extension”) handles information. The Extension is a product of Cornerstone Licensing, published by Cornerstone Support LLC d/b/a Cornerstone Licensing (“Cornerstone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Extension helps you track business license and expiration dates. It is a local-first tool: entries you add are stored in Chrome storage on your device. It is not an advertising product, and we do not sell personal information.
The Extension handles only information needed for its single purpose—helping you keep track of licenses and their expiration dates:
The Extension does not require an account. You decide what to enter. Do not store information in the Extension that you do not want kept on this browser profile.

We do not use Extension data to build advertising profiles, to sell or rent lists, or to market unrelated products inside the Extension.
License entries, settings, and notification state are stored locally using Chrome storage associated with your browser profile. They remain on your device (or in your Chrome profile sync, if you have Chrome sync enabled for extension data).
The Extension does not send your license inventory to Cornerstone for advertising or analytics. We do not operate a remote database of your Extension entries as part of the current product.
If Chrome sync is enabled, Google may sync extension storage as part of your Chrome profile under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. That sync is controlled by your Google account and Chrome settings, not by a Cornerstone server.
If we later add optional cloud features (for example, signed-in backup or multi-device sync operated by Cornerstone), we will update this policy before those features collect or transmit license inventory to our systems, and we will describe what is sent and why.
The Extension requests only the Chrome permissions needed for its single purpose: storing and displaying the license items you enter, maintaining settings, and providing local reminders. It does not request permissions to read your general browsing history, inject ads, or collect data unrelated to license tracking.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share your license inventory with third parties for advertising or analytics.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Cornerstone, our users, or others—only to the extent we actually possess that information. Because the current Extension is local-first, Cornerstone typically does not hold your license inventory on our servers.
This website (licensingmadesimple.com) and other Cornerstone services have their own practices. Using those services is separate from using the Extension. See the LicensingMadeSimple privacy policy for this website.
Information stored by the Extension remains in Chrome storage until you delete an item, clear the Extension’s data, uninstall the Extension, or otherwise remove it from this browser profile. We do not operate a remote retention period for local Extension entries because we do not receive that inventory today.
If you contact us by email, phone, or mail, we retain the correspondence you send for as long as needed to respond and to meet ordinary business and legal records needs, then delete or archive it according to our internal practices.
The Extension is intended for business licensing use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the Extension or by contacting us, please use the contact details below and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes—especially any change that would involve transmitting license inventory to Cornerstone or a third party—will be posted on this page before those practices begin. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
